For my second pregnancy, we decided to take this FPPS system at Hospital Sultanah Aminah Johor Bahru.

This is the only nearest hospital to my house.

So, I quickly called Hospital Sultanah Aminah and make an appoinment for the FPP Orientation.

If you are the first timer in this system, you have to come for the orientation where they will discuss about the delivery terms, payment and else.

You can see the brochure down there.

My due is coming soon on 27th March 2019, so my first appoinment was on 20th January. Next, Second appoinment will be in the middle of February 2019.

At HSA,  the pregnancy check up must be done at least 2 times before delivery.

And yes, you an choose your doctor.

They have 2 woman doctors Dr Lela and Dr Eliza. They also have male doctors in case your wondering.

  1. Hi Sarah,
I hope that you have a smooth delivery for your newborn. I am very interested to know more about your pregnancy experience as my Husband and I also planned to give birth in Sultanah Aminah. May I know for the total of your maternity delivery final bill in HSA?

    1. Dear Agnes, thanks for your wishes. By the way, I would not recommended for you to take FPP at Hospital sultanah Amainah JB. This is due to the condition of the ward, where even it is a first class ward, husband are not allowed to sleep or stay in with the wife at night. Plus family and husband have to follow the visitors time. Also, you are not allowed to charge your phone inside the ward and inside the building too. The hospital building cannot charge phone because of the fire history at the maternity ward. Even you take FPP, you still have to wait for your turn( long turn to wait about 1 hour). HSA still new thats why they are damn slow in this system.

If according to your check up dates, I should have my first check up in July already. The nurse mentioned tat too early to book, unable to confirm the availability of doctor and they don’t allowed early booking too 😦
